During 2009 and 2010 Brian and Sandra Robinson intend to leave their chosen careers, Sandra a trained nurse and assessor and Brian an aviation consultant. They will change their lives forever and stretch themselves both physically and mentally by completing their longest and hardest motorcycle journey ever. This adventure will take them from the very north of Alaska down to the southern tip of South America.
Brian and Sandra Robinson are both avid Motorcycle enthusiasts, both have travelled exclusively around Europe on adventures long and short. They have recently returned from their honeymoon, of course, on a motorcycle exploring the northern part of Morocco.
Neither are what you might call spring chickens (although you would never guess from their enthusiasm and dedication) both hovering around 50 years old, this couple love the unknown.
Starting in June 2009, this year long adventure will see Brian and Sandra not only discovering some parts of the world they have never visited, but also discovering people and cultures, providing help whilst also finding more out about themselves.
They hope to also assist where ever they can with organisations and charities who could use the help of a trained nurse (Sandra) and a hard working handyman (Brian)
This is unlike any of the journeys you may have seen on TV lately with lavish brand new state of the art motor cycles and a huge support team trying to get from A to B as quickly as possible meeting media deadlines. This is simply two people, on one rather old motorcycle (12 years old to be exact) with a dream to find a difference, to discover cultures, help others and prove life does not end when you’re both 50
